What to Expect from a p90 Airsoft Gun

Airsoft guns use pellets or paintballs as ammunition. However, unlike paintball guns, airsoft guns are modeled after real firearms and look almost identical to the real thing. Airsoft guns were invented in Japan during the early 1980s to give Japanese gun collectors a legal option as the possession of firearms by civilians in Japan is illegal. Since then, the airsoft craze has reached other areas of the world including the United States. You can choose almost any imaginable gun model in airsoft form. The original p90 is a small submachine gun made by Fabrique National de Herstal, or FN Herstal. The bullpup style configuration is a bit different from other guns of this type. On the p90, the 50 round magazine is positioned on top of the gun. This gun entered active service in 1994 after NATO requested a personal defense weapon that was both compact and effective. There are now a variety of variations of this model which include the TR, USG, LV and IR.

For example, the average airsoft p90 will feature the same compact size yet automatic firing with the magazine on top of the gun running parallel to the barrel.
