Is the Sidewinder Airsoft Gun Worth the Price?

The Sidewinder airsoft gun is a serious airsoft gun which is fully automatic. It is able to fire up to 90 rounds per second. which adds up to a total of 5400 rounds per minute. Because most people don't need that kind of firing capacity, this gun does allow you to fire 3 to 10 rounds per second by squeezing the trigger in a controlled way. The magazine can hold 1600 rounds which are simply poured in. This gun uses 6mm pellets but can also accommodate 6 mm paintballs as well.

The Sidewinder is powered by carbon dioxide (CO2) and uses a tank which is in the front handle. The stainless steel barrel offers gentle hop up action, while the mechanisms of this gun never need lubrication or maintenance. Because this gun is CO2 powered there are no springs or electronics required. The price for such a piece is approximately $1500, which may seem like a lot. While this certainly is a lot of money, it's substantially cheaper than what a gun of this magnitude used to cost. Not only that, but for the serious airsoft enthusiast an incredible piece like this one is worth every penny.

In the world of tournament paintball and airsoft, it's not uncommon for guns, sometimes called markers in paintball, to thousands. Therefore, it is definitely worth it to shell out this much for a high quality automatic rifle like this one. If you're actually planning on using your Sidewinder in competition, make sure you have the proper safety equipment and follow all safety rules and game regulations of the field on which you're playing.

The Sidewinder airsoft gun can cause harm, so always treat it like it is a real gun and not just one that shoots pellets or paintballs. After all, high velocity pellets and paintballs can certainly bruise the skin and cause major eye injury which can include permanent vision loss. Always transport your gun in a case, always wear the proper bodily and eye protection when on the field, and never point your gun at anything you don't intend to shoot. You might find that your Sidewinder may not be allowed on every playing field as many of these fields have specific rules about airsoft guns and fps limits.
